Cool Fitzgerald Family Crest Bobber Seat

Hey Everyone,

Here's a Bobber seat that i made for a fellow a few months back. It's his family crest, and i set it on a bunch of background filigree. The phrase "Crom Abu" was the Kildare Fitzgeralds' battle cry. They were also one of the first families to work against england for irish freedom. Kildare himself was one of the first major arrests for high treason against england in their fight for freedom.

It's always fun do make seats that contain a lot of history like this one. Being a knowledge glutton, i usually read up on the historical significance of the content.

Later,
SPiKE

You know, i've never heard anyone getting on in years get mad at themselves for spending too much time with their family, or who cursed themselves for being around their kids and grandkids and just wished that they had worked more. =)

Best of health to you, and enjoy your family. It's one of (if not *the*) most important things in life.

Thumbs up Slovakian "96 Bitchez" Bobber Seat

There is an interesting story behind this seat.
I do a lot of international orders... i would say about 1/3rd of my seat and leather orders are overseas. Usually they speak pretty good english, sometimes they don't.
The owner of this seat was so-so.

He was able to describe what he wanted, which was a combination of a couple of my other designs, along with the lettering "96 BITCHEZ" around the top (as seen in the pictures). Like always it's padded with high-density memory foam, and i threw in some ostrich paneling along the sides.
Even though he didn't speak perfect english, we were still able to communicate what he wanted and get him his perfect custom seat made that was just what he wanted... all the way on the other side of the world in Slovakia.

So, without any more delay, i give you pictures of a custom seat that is now proudly riding the streets on a custom bobber in Bratislava!

Later,
SPiKE

Lightbulb Harley Crossbones Solo OE-Replacement Seat!

Hey guys and gals (using the loosest of definitions of the words, of course ),

I've got a new seat for everyone. It's actually something that i noticed a market for. The stock crossbone's solo seat is big, bulky, and all kinds of ugly. So, at the request of some customers, i have created my own replacement seat. It uses the stock mounting hardware, is more trimmed and styled, and made with high density memory foam.

This one was the first one. i finished it around the end of November '09 (i'm a little behind on my posts, right?) Like all my solo seats, it's a metal seatpan with TiG welded mounts. I thought it was a cool design, with the alligator and tooled panels. I love this dark and clean look to seats. To me, the subdued look just about 'pops' more than a brightly colored or light brown seat on a bike. It certainly doesn't distract when you're looking at the bike, but can add so much to it.

plus... with this improvement over the stocker... i mean... just take a look and this and then look up the stock crossbones "tractor-seat" looking thing... and tell me which one you would want. =)

Enjoy the pics... i should have a webpage page up on my site for these new crossbones seat soon, i hope.

Later,
SPiKE

Thumbs up "Queen of Spades" Pinup Bobber Seat

Hey Guys,

Here's a new bobber seat that i made just for the hellavit. It's a new pinup design that i've worked out. I was planning on making one type of pinup seat for each suit of cards, this one is the Queen of Spades. Not sure if i'll do clubs or diamonds next.

This bobber seat has a tooled top, with filigree in the background. The filigree is actually died a dark gunmetal shade metallic color ( I still don't think anyone has figured out how to make a metallic dye but me ). The edges are laced, and the edges have ostrich panels sewn in as well. Like all my seats it has memory foam padding, with my new and improved seatpans that also accept all the standard hardware (nose brackets and springs) that are on the market, making it much easier to install on your custom build. An upholstered seat bottom finish off the look for one sweet looking seat.

I love it. Pinup girls are definitely on my favorites list of things i enjoy making. Just let me know, or check out my website if you want one!

And without further ado, i give you pictures!

Later,
SPiKE
