Have not tried frames. But like dave said the wheels and springers are good. Design issue with springer if you run a front fender though. The front fender must be set way up high or it will hit the front tire in a pothole situation. Happened twice to a bro. The rest of their stuff is ok for the money. Not awesome quality but decent.

the fender issue can be solved.. as far as the frames, though i cant verify what steel the tubing is.. it seems to be an inferior material .. the frames are known to crack , which is one reason they use larger diameter tubing .. they typically leave the tranny fifth mount off & dont even supply you a weld on.. when asked about this they told me that fifth mount wasnt necessary.. i beg to differ there.. of couurse making a weld on tab isnt that hard.. its just the whole idealogy they have.. i've seen several of their frames with the necks tweeked out of square as much as 11 degrees.. most of the welds look like mig gun welds.. which in itsself isnt a bad thing it just suggests they cut corners to save minimal dollars.. i wouldnt recomend their frames.. you can get a similar kraft-tech or santee frame for about the same cash amount.. " unknown choppers " makes a frame that i really like.. it has a mild gooseneck & a straight back bone.. really nice ..

I have the DNA Glide front end on the bobber, IMO they are a well built front end.

If...........................You can make a floting front brake for a springer...

you should be able to figure out a floating fender mount.....

I am a dealer for kraftech. Shoot me a part number and I can get you a price. I've used tons of kraftech frames and they are very well built and a decent price. Look up what you need here http://www.krafttechinc.com/KTCatalognew.html

i got my kraft tech frame on the new build from v-twin88 .. next time i need one i'll go to him again.. a highly recomended dealer.. as far as the DNA springers clunking.. hell thats what springers do.. they arent any worse than any other i've seen.. i use one now on my chopper.. no complaints at all.. i havent heard any noises .. i'm sure their hyd. forks are good too. thats an area that would be hard to fuck up i think.. i experienced their frames due to guys that bought rollers on ebay thinking they had a good buy.. once they realized they were in over their heads i ended up finishing them.. you know the drill , these guys think they can build a bike on the weekend , & they throw a bbq while their buddies help.. the basic products of folks watching to much t.v. & not knowing shit about bikes.. though i'm always fair with everyone they usually pay twice.. once for me to take it back apart & fix all they have fucked up & then again to rebuild the bike correctly..

Well it looks like I'm leanin toward a Thompson Tommy gun for the frame. The kraft tech looks good but it looks like the most I can get is 40 degrees. I'm runnin a springer so offset trees are out.

I haven't built a wide tire bike as it's been 20 years since my last one. What can you tell me about big butt bikes 250-300 as compared to 180-200.

Thanks Again.

Oh if ya count the stuff I've built from a pile metal and parts (cars, bikes, and a couple of pickups) over the years this is number 25. "Beastie25"
