hey its nothing personal towards me.. i didnt take it that way.. it was a generalized response & the mans opinion.. some of the items in there i liked.. some werent for me.. obviously i must not have contacted the same folks wab tried too.. .. i got strange responses from one vendor & follow up e-mails that i still cant actually grasp , as to what the fuck is up.. its more like a personal documentary on shit than a vendor.. but hey.. i find it interesting regardless , so i keep reading what they send.. like i said there could be a reason why these guys didnt respond , who knows.. it really aint my concern.. i do know at the time i was looking for a unique tail light & all roads still led me back to fab-kevin & he filled my needs very well .. but hey, if wab thinks those fella's can go get fucked , then so be it.. thats his business.. all i can do is state my experiences with the catalogs vendors that i had contacted..

if theres a new edition catalog out i'd like to get one.. how do you go about it..

Many (most?) of the Limpnickie members sell their own parts, that were designed and are manufactured themselves. That is the purpose of the catalog - to be able to showcase parts directly from the manufacturter. Limpnickie is just a way for all to get together.

Most of the vendors are small shops, and most are understaffed. I, myself, find it difficult to be able to manage a website, answer phones and emails, as well as do the design work and manufacture every single part. It would be great to have some help - but the profit margines don't support the extra salaries.

All I was saying, is that perhaps on the day you emailed, or phoned, any given vendor could be out for any number of reasons. These guys aren't like Walmart - most often, the guy answering the phones is also the guy who has to pick up materials, or deliver a bike, or whatever. Thats all I'm saying.

this is a fact.. alot of us are in this boat.. i work a day job, then come home & work in the shop.. it works well because when most guys get off work , i'm ready to get after it.. i try to answer all the calls i can, but often i have to let folks leave a message.. profit margin are not high.. not all all.. on a personal level & i think kevin & chad can both verify, as they have both done things for me on more than one occassion . i am rarely in a hurry & wont rush folks because i know how it is.. i try to plan ahead to allow time for near any situation.. sometimes it takes me a few days to answer all my calls & e-mails.. i really dont know why wab got no service when her needed it.. i do know i can relate..

I know most of the guys advertising in the book and they are all good people, if you got blown off I can assure you it wasn't intentional or standard practice something must have been up. As KEV said v-twin expo was going on I was there and many from the catalog were as well so that means no one was home to answer e-mails or phone calls. I understand your issue as when you call to order something and no response it can get annoying. If you'd be so kind you can pm me and I can let the said venders know of there lack of customer service, the last thing we all want is a bad vibe floating around about the catalog and the builders in it.

i under stand the work load from running a small business, i to run a fence installation business since 1982 with 4 labors to help with installation and myself with my job being ,, sales (responding to customers ), collecting money , paying suppliers, head aches, and as well a wife who is very ill for the past 6yrs , so i have a big work load as well. it's refreshing to my mind and sole to, hide in the shop and build this 2nd bike.

If I did not answer back the second time then your e-mail might have been filtered into my spam folder by mistake. I use Yahoo and found that many times there are good e-mails put in there by yahoos choice, why I don't know but there are so many spam e-mails now that I usually do not have time to filter through the spam e-mails anymore while keeping up with the ones in my in box. I do make sure to read every email I get so you were not overlooked on purpose, sorry about that.
